Scrap your Slideshow!!

Slide frame created with CanDesigns An Altered State kit available at Stone Accent Studios.

Do you see my new Slideshow? Do you want to make your own?

Step 1 – Scrap your frame
Scrap a 6 x 4 inch (300 dpi) or a 6 x 6 inch frame and then RESIZE to 96 dpi. When you resize the dpi, you need to also adjust the frame size back to 6 x 4 or 6 x 6. If you want elements to “overhang” the photo slide show, you should create a PNG image, or a Quick Page (QP).

Step 2 - Make a Slideshow Go to Slide.com and join.
1. Upload your own images. I uploaded my scrap pages.
2. Customize your design.

Styles – I chose sliding because with my scrapped frame I wanted you to
be able to see the pictures.
Skins – Scroll down to the bottom and click, “Make your own.” This is where you will upload your own frame that you made. Make sure you move the red frame bar slightly over the “overhangs” of your frame. The slide will actually be behind your frame. You can continue to customize your slide as you like.

I did not realize we had such a fun and unique option until I saw the beautiful work at Pam Lefors Designs. Go check out her gorgeous blog!

Here's to more happy scrapping, and

Hugs from the heart,

Jeanette

1/13/08 Update:
I should have carried the rest of the steps on installing Slide to your blog. Sometimes I get ahead of myself...sorry about that!

Step 3 - Get the Code
When you finish customizing Slide, you hit SAVE. Then Slide will give you a choice of what type of code you would like. You will select BLOGGER. Then Slide will give you the code. Copy the code.

Step 4 - Add the Code
You can put your slide in a post, as I have done, or you can add it as a separate element. To put in the post, just select NEW post, and paste the code into the box. You will only see the slide in a post when you select Preview.

To install the Slide as a element on your page, you will need to go to CUSTOMIZE/LAYOUT/PAGE ELEMENT/ADD A GADGET. When the pop up screen appears, select HTML/Java Script. Add your slide code and click save. Then view your blog.
