I personally prefer to not have music, because I am usually listening on my own computer, and I open many sites at the same time, but I do enjoy finding new music and wanted to share what I learned when visiting Bree’s awesome blog, Breezy Butterfly Creations. I loved your miniature little player, up in the right corner. It was easy to adjust the volume, and it was so tiny. I followed the Create Free Link, and here’s what I found:
Step 1 - Register
Step 2 - Create a playlist
This took me forever. I would recommend you already have a list of favorites planned.
Step 3 - Choose an MP3 player
Color (you can move the color wand around to get just the color you want)
Style (you can add an overlay to your main player)
Skins (in case you want to change the one you selected)
Settings (you can adjust the volume upon entering your blog, I chose 25%)
Step 4 - Get Code
click here for any other website or blog
If you want it to automatically post, select blogger, and it will post for you (actually very convenient if you only have one blog…for me it went to the wrong blog).
If you want to add the code yourself, copy and paste the code.\
Step 5 – Add the Code
Go to CUSTOMIZE/LAYOUT/PAGE ELEMENTS/ADD A GADGET then select HTML/JAVA SCRIPT and enter your code. Hit SAVE and VIEW BLOG!
P.S. If you prefer not to hear the music, just click on the new feature of Blogger (BLOCK). You can add the player to your block list, and anytime you visit my blog, you will not hear the player. I think that’s a new cool feature of Blogger!
Another blog element demystified, thanks to you, Jeanette! Thanks so much for your help, I can't wait to try it out. Do we need to buy and download the music first from somewhere? I haven't gotten into the ipod scene yet.
ReplyDeleteI was trying to find the block feature and had trouble. Sometimes the music players cause my browser to lock up so the block feature is very useful. Where will I find the feature?
ReplyDeleteThanks.
That's the cool thing Cara, it's all free!
ReplyDeleteHave a blessed day!
Jeanette
Erin-Joi, the block feature is transparent, and it's at the top right of the widget. Let me know if you need more help!
ReplyDeleteI just found your site the other day and have found it SO useful! Thanks for the info on the music player, I've seen it on other blogs and was wondering how to add it!
ReplyDeleteAwesome Jeanette, Thanx for posting this!!!
ReplyDeleteHi Jeanette! So, I'm going to have to stop checking out your blog, becuase you make me want everything you present! I have a playlist, but it doesn't fit so I think this might be just the thing I need! By the way my sig is up on davideandtalisha.blogspot.com, but the box is still around it. I intend to give you credit on my next post, but had to put up first b-day party pics for my mom in Texas! Thanks for your great work and help!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks again for sharing the site with us. I made a video playlist and it's so cool to look at...
ReplyDeleteLove Always,

I already thought of putting music in a blog and I keep asking myself how would I do that. This is the answer but I have another question in my mind. When would it be good to post music in your blog. I mean if I have business or something more on professional matters is it still ok to put music?
