I am learning some fun new tips about posting on blogger. This is my first practice post with WLW. After I check it’s success (or not…LOL) I will post about how to use it! One tool that really interested me (because of all our scrapping and photos) is the simplicity of adding photos…and so here’s my first attempt:
Here are few of my favorite “love” scraps:
Guess what? I didn’t have to pick up my photo from the top and move it where I wanted it…isn’t that great?
Here’s the link for this free program: Windows Live Writer
Some things I’ve noticed:
1. The post title icon does not show up on the preview, but did after posting!
2. The signature did not show up, but it was easy to add as photo, and you could add a PNG (transparent file) and you could also resize it, and choose no border around it…I really like that.
As I learn more about it, I will share!
Hi there...Nice info on this one...had tried it and it really is cool using that program especially in inserting so many pictures as you have noted.... i tried writing two articles using WLW but there is a lag in publishing it in my blog. It is not automatically posted. What is written is that it is "scheduled" to be posted. The time specified there is not being followed. I don't know if you experienced that one. Thanks again...
ReplyDeleteActually, it was published immediately. Make sure you have your world time correct when signing up.
ReplyDeleteThanks for taking time to visit, and to post a comment!
Here's to more happy scrapping, and

Hello again.. I think I solved the problem... I changed my posting date a day earlier, maybe we've got different time zone with WLW...
ReplyDeleteI try to add the posting signature (while editing it). The file was PNG (transparent) but what appeared in my blog was the signature in a box with white background on it....pleaseeeee help me with this one?
I tried using the other options like scatter, spread and the fan features in presenting photo albums but they have white backgrounds in it... hope you can have the time to check if that can be changed... It doesn't go well with the look of my blog ha ha ha :-)
ReplyDeletethis is a cool tool - one that i will defo be looking into! Thanks again!!
ReplyDeleteI had probs with the sig block too and it took ages to fix it - going in and out of the edit box copying the original post and deleting everything. This may need some looking into - my sig block came out black first and then on uploading as a pic it had the white previously mentioned....
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Jeanette for all the tuts on blogs they are great and so helpful. Your blog is beautiful! :)
